Descirtion:

S type turbine is suitable for heads from 2m to 20m and large discharge hydropower station.

S-type tubular turbine is Available in versions of Horizontal Kaplan turbine, also called  horizontal Kaplan hydro turbine. lt's feature is that the water flow is axial throughout the passage from the inlet to the outlet, so that the passage is a straight conduit essentially.The turbine shaft passes out of the tube at the point where the tube changes direction, installation is ether with the transfer belt or directly connected to the generator. This modern water turbine is characterized by high efficiency in a broad band of flow rates.

S-type turbine is also consist of fixed runner blades and adjustable runner blades.

 Main Structure of the Hydro Turbine

This hydraulic turbine type is Horizontal s type tubular turbine with adjustable blades and guide vane. Water flows through inlet pipe of the power station, stand ring, distributor, runner, tailrace pipe, and drain to tailrace channel. The flow through the turbine, drives the runner to revolve, then the water energy (potential energy and kinetic) convert to mechanical energy of water turbine main shaft, drives the rotor of generator revolution,  thus converting the mechanical energy into electric energy. And start turbine, parallel in grid, increase and decrease load, stop unit by the guide vane governor motion device
