What is  one-corner, three-sides and six-surfaces box dropping test ?

1-What is a drop test?

Drop test is a test used to simulate the free drops a product may be subjected to during transportation.

This test is typically used to evaluate a product's ability to withstand accidental impact.

In a drop test, a product is typically placed at a height(usually determined based on the product's weight and likehood of falling)

and then allowed to fall freely. 

A drop surface is usually a smooth,hard,rigid surface made of concrete or steel. If there are special requirements,

the type of drop surface can be determined based on product specifications or customer testing specifications.

Through the drop test, you can understand the impact that the product may receive in unexpected situations and evaluate the 

toughness and stability of the product structure.

This kind of testing is usually done during the product design stage to ensure that the product can withstand the shocks

and drops it may encounter during transportation,storage and use.

2-What is the purpose of drop test?

The carton drop test is used to simulate factors such as drops that a product may experience during handling,

and to confirm the product's adaptability to resist throwing,presure,and falling during handling,transportation,storage.

3- What is the common standards for drop testing?

During packaging and transportation verification,drop tests appear in any standard.

One-corner,three-sides,six-surfaces are only inlcuded in ISTA1A / ISTA2A, GB/T4857, ASTM D4169.

ISTA Series all have drop tests, for large packags, you must choose the edge test. Different size packing, used different drop testing machine.  When you want to buy a drop machine,please tell us the max size of the packing.
