How to Maintain Truck Air Springs?
1. Regular visual inspection
Inspect the surface of the airbag (air spring):
Check for cracks, cuts, bulges or wear (especially in contact with metal parts). Rubber aging or mechanical damage can cause air leakage.
Key areas: airbag folds, bottom mounting seat periphery.

Inspect mounting parts:
Confirm that the bolts connecting the airbag to the frame and axle seat are not loose, and the bracket is not rusted or deformed.

2. Test air tightness
Soap water test method:
Spray soapy water on the surface of the airbag and observe whether bubbles are generated (leakage points usually appear at valves, joints or damaged parts).

Air pressure monitoring:
When the vehicle is stationary, record the air pressure value, and observe whether the air pressure drops rapidly after turning off the engine (if the air pressure continues to drop, it is necessary to check for leaks).

3. Cleaning and protection
Remove dirt:
Wash the surface of the airbag with clean water and neutral detergent to avoid oil, salt or gravel that accelerate rubber aging.
Prohibited from use: strong acid/alkaline cleaners, high-pressure water gun direct spray.

Anti-corrosion treatment:
Check whether metal parts (such as piston cylinder) are rusted, and spray anti-rust coating if necessary.

4. Check height control system
Automatic leveling system:
Observe whether the vehicle is level when unloaded/loaded. If the vehicle body tilts or adjusts frequently, it may be a sensor, air pump or distribution valve failure.

Manual test:
After starting the vehicle, monitor the air pump working time (abnormal extension may indicate leakage).

5. Lubricate moving parts
Piston air spring:
Apply silicone-based grease to the metal piston rod (to avoid rubber compatibility issues) to prevent dry friction from causing wear of the seal ring.

6. Replace worn parts
Recommended replacement cycle:
The general life of rubber airbags is 5-8 years or 200,000 kilometers (depending on road conditions and load). If aging cracks are found, they should be replaced in time.

Supporting parts:
At the same time, check and replace aging air pipes, O-rings or desiccant (air pump system).

7. Avoid improper operation
No overloading:
Overloading will significantly shorten the life of the airbag and increase the risk of explosion.

Slow down in bad road conditions:
Frequent bumps or impacts will cause excessive compression/stretching of the airbag.
