The Compact I/O module with part number 1769-OW8 belongs to the 1769 CompactLogix controller family. This module is a product of AB that features embedded Eight (8) Form A contact outputs. Each output channels of this module operates at a Voltage category of 5-265VAC and 5-125VDC. This module is certified by c-UL, CE and C-Tick and compatible for use in industrial environments and workplace, for machine or process automation.

The 1769-OW8 has Two (2) output groups with (4) channels per group. Through this input grouping, different voltage types may be present or used by each group as well as similar voltage category. Channel group 1 is composed of channels 0, 1, 2 and 3 while Channel group 2 includes channels 4, 5, 6 and 7. Each channel of the module has a higher Current handling capability which amounts to 2.5A at 120 / 240 VAC while for 125VDC, 1.0A continuous current and 2.0A continuous current for 24VDC.

Install this module with MicroLogix 1500 or CompactLogix controllers. CompactLogix controllers that support installation of 1769 Compact I/O are 5370 L1, L2 and L3 controllers. Depending on the controller used, the programming software varies. RSLogix 500 programming software is used if the controller is MicroLogix 1500. If used with CompactLogix controller, use RSLogix 5000 or Studio 5000 Logix Designer. RSLogix 5000 and Studio 5000 compatibility depends on the controller firmware version. For Version 20.XX and below, use RSLogix 5000 while for Controller revision V21.xx, use Studio 5000.
