Product Details The AB 1762-IQ16 is a 16-point sink and source input module. It measures 90 x 87 x 40 millimeters, runs on 24 Volts DC input power at a 10 to 30 Volt DC operating voltage. Its maximum heat dissipation is 3.7 Watts. The 1762-IQ16 enhances the functionality of MicroLogix 1100, 1200, and 1400 controllers. It needs minimal space and it can be mounted on a DIN rail or a panel mount. The 1762-IQ16 module is a sinking and sourcing module that regulates the current flow between the input module and the connected device. The devices on the negative side of the module are sinking field devices and the ones on the positive side are sourcing field devices. The Source devices always provide current to the Sink devices. The 1762-IQ16 module has a single status LED that indicates power and helps identify the source of all the problems. The module communicates and receives 10, 24, and 30 Volts of DC power via the 1762 bus interface. For wiring the input terminal blocks, a finger-safe cover is included. The 1762-IQ16 uses bit positions 0 to 15 of word 0 for the input terminals. The operation details of the module must be configured for each channel after installation.
