The AB 1762-OF4 is an analog output module that weighs only 235 grams. It has 4 single-ended outputs with output times of 2.5 milliseconds. The resistive load on the current output, including wire resistance, varies between 0 and 500 ohms. The load range on voltage output is more than 1 K?. If configured for Current output, the reactive load is less than 0.1 mH. For Voltage output, the reactive load is less than 1 µ F. There are two typical overall accuracies for the 1762-0F4, depending on the temperature. Between -20 and 65 degrees Celsius, the typical overall accuracy is +/-1.17% full scale. At 25 degrees Celsius, the typical overall accuracy is +/- 0.5%. The typical overall accuracy includes terms for gain, offset, non-linearity, and repeatability error. The output protection value of the 1762-0F4 is +/-32 mA.
The 1762-0F4 has a heat dissipation of only 2.8 Watts. When wiring analog signals to the output channels, Belden 8761 as this cable is sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Follow ESD prevention guidelines during installation. The 1762-0F4 is meant to be mounted to a well-grounded surface such as a metal panel. Extra grounding connections from the mounting tabs or the DIN rail (if one is used) are not necessary unless the mounting surface itself cannot be grounded. The 1762-0F4 must be mounted horizontally.
