Hollow flange reaction torque sensor FTQ features a large bore
located at the center of the torquemeter,through which a rotating
shaft can pass,this enables torque measurement regardless of the
rotating speed.Torque cell is normally used for rotating torque
measuring applications where inserting an extra part between the
driving and driven elements is impracticable.The low height
structure allows use in pump and drill rigs without major changes
to the existing machinery.Here are some advantages of hollow torque
sensors compared to rotary torque meters:

- With no limits on the rotating speed.
- Taking up less space due to their short length.
- More durable since no rotating parts are involved.

A torque sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical torque
into mV signal proportional to the applied torque.The acting
torsion causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded
strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance
change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the
output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus
the moment can be measured by measuring the output signal from the
transducer.The output range of FTQ is normally within
-20mV...+20mV, signal amplification may be required for most
applications, a signal conditioner can be used to get -5~5V, 0-10V
or 4-20mA output for easy data processing.
