MPO-8 / MTP-8 to LC duplex fiber optical break-out cable is fiber optic patch cord that the main cable is mini cable 8fibers, the patch cable one side comes with MPO-8 or MTP-8 APC polishing type and an other side comes with LC duplex connector (normally is LC/UPC type).
Same as MPO / MTP trunk cable, the MPO / MTP to LC break-out patch cables have 3 type of connection method. They are type A (trainght through), type B (cross connect), type C (cross pair)
The MPO APC / MTP APC refers to a high-density fiber optic cable terminated with an MPO / MTP (Multi-fiber Termination Push-on) connector that features an APC (Angled Physical Contact) polishing type. It is designed for high-speed, low-loss connections in modern enterprise networks and data centers.

Option 1: MPO-8 APC connector + mini cable SM G657A1 8F + LC/UPC Duplex connector

Option 2: MTP-8 APC connector + mini cable SM G657A1 8F + LC/UPC Duplex connector

MPO to LC / MTP to LC break-out patch cable polarity

1. Type A (Straight-Through)

Fiber Mapping: Fiber 1 connects to Fiber 1 (LC), Fiber 2 to Fiber 2, and so on.

Key Orientation: Key-Up to Key-Down.

How it works: Because this maintains a straight-through path, the Tx → Rx flip must happen somewhere else in the network. To complete the circuit, you must use a standard A-to-B (Crossover) LC duplex patch cord at one end (e.g., at the switch/transceiver).

2. Type B (Cross Reversed)

Fiber Mapping: Fiber 1 connects to Fiber 12 (LC), Fiber 2 connects to Fiber 11, and so on.

Key Orientation: Key-Up to Key-Up.

How it works: This creates an inherent flip within the cable itself. Because of this internal reversal, you must use a Straight-Through A-to-A LC patch cord to maintain the correct Tx → Rx orientation.

3. Type C (Cross Pair-Flipped)

Fiber Mapping: Fiber 1 connects to Fiber 2 (LC), Fiber 2 to Fiber 1, Fiber 3 to Fiber 4, and so on.

Key Orientation: Key-Up to Key-Down.

How it works: The pair-flip naturally maps Tx to Rx from end to end, making it ideal for connecting directly to duplex LC equipment without needing any special crossover patch cords. You use standard A-to-B LC patch cords on both ends.
