1. What is GYTS outdoor fiber optical cable?

+ GYTS outdoor fiber optical cable is an outdoor armored fiber optic cable specifically designed for duct, aerial, and sometimes direct-buried applications.

+ GYTS outdoor fiber optical cables feature a stranded loose tube construction with corrugated steel tape (CST) armor, providing superior crush resistance and protection against rodent damage compared to aluminum-armored alternatives like GYTA.

+ GYTS outdoor fiber optical cable main structure includes: 

Central Strength Member: A steel wire (or some customers choose FRP wire to ligher the cable weight) located at the center to provide high tensile strength.

FBT Loose Tubes: Fibers are housed in gel-filled PBT tubes that are stranded around the central member.

Water Blocking Layer: The core is filled with water-blocking compounds and jelly to prevent moisture ingress.

Armoring Tape: A layer of corrugated steel tape (PSP) is applied longitudinally over the cable core for mechanical durability.

Out-sheath: A durable black polyethylene (PE) sheath that is UV-resistant and weather-proof.

Colored fiber cores: 2 to 288 cores of optical fibers are protected by the loose tube, this is also core part of the fiber optical cable.
