1. What is GYTS fiber optic cable?

• GYTS fiber optic cable is a type of armored fiber optic cable for outdoor application for duct.
• It is used for telecommunications that is suitable for duct, aerial, and direct burial installations.
• Its name indicates it is an outdoor cable (GY), with stranded loose tubes (T), and a corrugated steel tape armoring (S).
• The steel tape provides enhanced protection against mechanical stress, moisture, and rodents.
• GYTS Cable: metal strengthening member, loose tube stranded and filled, steel-polyethylene bonded sheathed outdoor optical fiber cable for communication.
• In the GYTS cable, single-mode/multimode fibers are positioned in the loose tubes, the tubes are filled with water blocking filling compound. Tubes and fillers are stranded around the strength member into a circular cable core. PSP is applied around the core. Which is filled with the filling compound to protect it. Then the cable is completed with a PE sheath.
