Oxidation Types:
1. Chemical oxidation
At a certain temperature, a thin oxide film is formed on the surface of aluminum alloy profile through chemical reaction, which is called chemical oxidation of aluminum. This method does not need to pass through current, and the process is simpler and cheaper than electrochemical oxidation. The oxide film is very thin, and the film thickness is 0.5~4 μ M or so, the film is soft and has low wear resistance, so it cannot be used alone. The film has good physical adsorption capacity and is a good primer. The protective layer obtained by chemical oxidation can greatly improve the protective ability of parts.
2. Anodic oxidation method
Anodizing of aluminum alloy profile is made by electrolysis in oxalic acid, sulfuric acid and chromic acid aqueous solution with aluminum or aluminum alloy as anode and lead, carbon or stainless steel as cathode. Electro anodic oxidation can obtain film-forming speed that is difficult to obtain by natural oxidation. In the process of oxidation film formation, two processes occur at the same time: one is the formation of Al2O3 oxide film on the surface of aluminum plate; Second, the formation process of oxide film is accompanied by the dissolution of oxide film. Only when the formation rate of the oxide film exceeds its dissolution rate can a certain thickness of the oxide film be obtained, and the thickness of the film is generally 5~15 um. The film is a double-layer structure consisting of a dense barrier layer and a porous layer with a columnar structure. Anodic oxidation films of aluminum alloy profiles can be divided into two categories: porous films formed in acid electrolyzers such as sulfuric acid and oxalic acid, forming micropores perpendicular to the surface; Barrier film is a porous and extremely thin film formed in electrolyte, such as ammonium borate, which is commonly used in electrolytic capacitors.
Anodized Introduction:
Anodic oxidation can improve the corrosion resistance of aluminum alloy, improve the surface hardness and wear resistance of aluminum alloy, and have good decorative properties after proper coloring treatment. The anodizing film coloring technology of aluminum and its alloys can be divided into 3 types: chemical dyeing, electrolytic coloring and electrolytic coloring. Chemical dyeing makes use of the porous and chemical activity of the oxide film to dye a variety of pigments to color the oxide film. According to the mechanism and process of coloring, it can be divided into organic dye coloring, inorganic dye coloring, color pulp printing, coloring and colorant dyeing. Electrolytic coloring is an anodized aluminum and its alloy in the aqueous solution containing metal salts. The metal, metal oxide or metal compounds are deposited at the bottom of the porous layer of the oxide film, and various colors are presented due to the scattering of light. The whole electrolytic coloring of aluminum and its alloy is coloured at the same time as anodizing, which is characterized by one step of oxidation and coloring, and the coloring film has good light resistance, heat resistance, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. The whole electrolytic coloring is divided into natural color, electrolysis color and power supply color, in which the color of electrolysis is dominant, natural color is second, and the color of power supply is being developed.
