What is the electric tailgate?
The smart electric tailgate is a brand-new car intelligent
modification system. The driver can control the closing of the
tailgate through the remote control of the car key, pressing the

The Methods to open / close the tailgate:
The tailgate switch. Press the tailgate opening button on the
dashboard or tailgate of the vehicle to realize the opening and
closing operation of the tailgate.
- Original key fobs remote control switch. The tailgate opening
operation is achieved by pressing the opening / closing button on
the original key fobs.
- Automated manual. Car owners open or close the tailgate by pressing
the tailgate switch, key fobs or using foot sense operation, so you
can open the tailgate easily to avoid being inconvenient to open or
close the tailgate because of too many objects on your hands.
- Smart Anti-Pinch Function. When the tailgate is closed, obstacles
are detected by sensors. The tailgate will move in the opposite
direction when the sensor detects an obstacles, effectively
preventing pinching the child or damaging the vehicle.
Electric tailgate products should have the function of intelligent
detection of obstacles and realize emergency braking. The tailgate
can be stopped or moved in the opposite direction to prevent the
motor from being burned out due to excessive current. And this
function can avoid accidental pinching or damage the vehicle.
The principle of anti-clamp of the electric tailgate is that the
hall sensor (ECU) inside the spindle motor detects the speed of the
motor. When the tailgate touch an obstacles during the process of
opening and closing, the speed of the motor will drops below the
set limit. The sensor detects an obstacle and the motor current
consumption increases, so the power supply is reversed, resulting
in moving in the opposite direction of tailgate.
FAQ (After the installation of electric tailgate)
1. The control box does not work: | 1) The location of taking power supply is wrong or not inserted.
2) The fuse is burned out. (In the fuse box on the electrical
appliances).
3) The ground wire is not connected properly, resulting in poor
circuit.
4) "Door Lock detection line" is not connected well.
5) Car battery is low.
6) Control box is damaged. |
2. The tail gate is not closed in place: | 1) The brackets are reversed or they are not installed as required.
2) The waterproof rubber strips and decorative panel of the rear
trunk are nor installed properly, and the connecting wire of poles
are not connect well.
3) The electric suction lock are not installed well. (Some car's
base nuts can be moved. You need to push lock base forward and fix

The working principle of the strut:
When the motor is not working, the resistance of the screw rod, the
resistance of the motor gear box, the spring force and the gravity
of the door form a balance torque to keep the door hovering at any
position.
When the motor is working, the motor torque breaks the balance.
According to the motor torque direction, the strut performs
telescopic movement to drive the door to open and close.
