The AB 1746-OX8 is an SLC 500 digital I/O module. This output
module comes with 8 high-current relay contact outputs that are
individually-isolated. It is also an N.O. relay output module with
relay contact ratings with a maximum of 30 A each for make and
break at 120 Volts AC and a maximum of 15 A make and 1.5 A break at
240V AC. At a continuous 5 A for both AC voltages, the module has a
make of 3600 VA and a break of 360 VA. For DC voltages, the maximum
make and break are 0.22 A each at 125 Volt DC and both 1.2 A each
at 24 Volt DC. Continuous 1 A at 125 Volt DC and 2 A at 24 Volts DC
both have a make and break of 28 VA each. Status indicators are
available with this module. It can be mounted in a chassis and has
an open-type enclosure. You must remember to install and remove the
module only when power is not applied to the chassis.
It has an output current of 3 A at 120 Volt AC and an output
current of 1.2 A at 24 Volt DC. The operating voltage of this
module ranges from 5-125V AC and 5 to 265 Volts DC. The backplane
current consumption at 5 Volts DC is 0.085 A and 0.090 A at 24 Volt
DC. It also has a maximum resistive load signal delay of 10
milliseconds for both OFF and ON. This module's minimum load
current is 10 mA at 5 Volts DC and its maximum off-state leakage is
0 mA. Note that the continuous current per module should be limited
to 1440 VA. This module has a NEMA standard ICS 2 to 230 noise
immunity and electro-optical isolation of 1500 Volts between the
I/O terminals and control logic. The operating temperature range of
this module, particularly for the air surrounding the system, is
from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and the storage temperature ranges
from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. Its operating vibration has a
displacement of 0.015 inches peak at 5 to 57 Hertz and an
acceleration of 2.5 g at 57-2000 Hertz. The operating shock of this
module is 10 g. The 1746-OX8 module has a heat dissipation of 0.825
watts per point, a minimum dissipation of 2.590 Watts, and a total
dissipation of 8.60 Watts.
