Detailed Product Description
Redundant Power Supply Module GE Fanuc IC200PWR102 VERSAMAX POWER SUPPLY
120/240VAC Expanded 3.3 Power Supply IC200PWR102 provides backplane
power for CPU, NIU, and I/O modules. It supplies up to 1.5 Amps
output current via 3.3 Volt and 5 Volt outputs, with up to 1.0 Amp
on the 3.3V output. Module backplane current consumption is summarized in appendix C. An AC or DC Power Supply provides +5V and +3.3V power to the
modules in the rack. Additional power supplies can be installed on
special booster carriers if needed for systems where the number of
modules creates the need for a booster. The AC or DC Power Supply
on the CPU or NIU and the Power Supply that resides on the Booster
Carrier must share the same external power source.

is a VersaMax expanded power supply unit with extended
functionality. This power supply unit is used to give power to
several types of devices which are connected to the backplane—input
and output modules, processing units, and network interface units,
for example. The IC200PWR102 differs from many other VersaMax power
units in that it operates primarily with alternating current (AC)
rather than direct current (DC). While this device is capable of
being a main power supply, it is also adept at functioning as a
supplementary power source when attached to a power supply booster
carrier. The IC200PWR102 has different options in regards to input voltage. When a jumper is installed, the input voltage can range anywhere from 85 volts to 132 volts of alternating current, but 120 volts is nominal. When a jumper is not installed, the input voltage range is from 176 volts to 264 volts alternating current, with a nominal voltage of 240 volts. Vital note: A jumper should not be used in conjunction with 240 volts of input voltage. Doing so will cause damage to the power module and may result in dangerous conditions. The IC200PWR102 can safely operate at 120 volts AC without a jumper. The input power for this product is 27 volt-amperes, and the frequency can range from 47Hz to 63Hz. The hold-up time is rated at 20 milliseconds; however, if this device is operating with 120 volts of input voltage without a jumper installed, this hold up time will not be accurate. Output voltages are 3.3 volts and 5 volts, totaling in a maximum of 1.5 amperes. Limited protection measures are supported for this device, including short circuit and overload protection. When mounted on the CPU or NIU module, this power supply serves as
the main power supply for the station. It can also be used as
a supplemental power supply when mounted on a Power Supply Booster
Carrier. Refer to the Power Supply Booster Carrier section of
chapter 4 for more information. The total output current should not exceed 1.5 A. For example, if
3.3V @ 1.0 A is required, 0.5 A is available on the 5V output. This power supply can be used with either 120VAC or 240VAC nominal
input power. For 120VAC nominal operation, a jumper should be installed as marked on the power supply. The power supply operates without a jumper installed; however, the
hold-up specificationis not met. If a jumper is not installed for
120VAC operation, the power supply will not cause hazardous
conditions. DO NOT USE A JUMPER FOR 240VAC OPERATION. If a jumper is used on
the input connector for 240VAC nominal operation, the power supply
will be damaged and may cause hazardous conditions. OTHER SUPERIOR PRODUCTS
