Theory:

In the hot air furnace heating chamber, the sample is heated with different temperatures, with a small flame in the furnace directly above the opening point of the escaping gas to determine the flashover temperature.

Auto-ignition temperature is directed by the same method of flashover temperature, but no flame is applied.
