The Adjustable Cable Gripper, allows a connection, from a 1/8" stainless steel cable to a

Cloud Panel Mounting Plate. The Adjustable Cable Gripper, locks the cable into position,

with a spring-loaded ball-bearing wedge design, on one end, and a fork & pin design on the other.

The cable length is easily adjusted while hanging the cloud, with a locking plunger.

All cable length adjustments are made at the cloud level.

Cable Grippers are sophisticated in design but simple to use to hang your pictures or fine art.

Here’s how it works:
Insert the cable into the plunger and slide the gripper to the desired position. Where it stops it locks.

To re-adjust, simply depress the plunger with your fingertip and move the gripper to a new position.

Release the plunger to lock.

The 3-ball gripping mechanism is spring-loaded and allows the gripper to move freely up

the cable. It cannot move down unless the plunger is depressed.

While there is any weight at all on the gripper, the plunger cannot be depressed.

An optional “safety nut” or “safety cap” can be added to completely lock the mechanism in

both directions. The Greater The Weight, The Stronger It Grips.

Materials & Finishes

Cable Grippers are made of nickel&Chrome-plated brass with a few exceptions. Internal mechanisms are comprised of brass and stainless steel. Grippers are also available in a black zinc finish,satin-chrome. Other finishes are available upon request. Some of the other items are made of anodized aluminum and come in several colors.

Thread Sizes

Most Cable Grippers have either internal or external threads to attach them to the object being suspended.

WARNING: Do not place pendant fixtures in moving-air environments unless they are laterally/seismically braced. Continuous oscillation may cause metal fatigue in the cabling systems, leading to cable failure.

Grippers & couplers work best when cable follows their center line. Avoid angled pulls in excess of 5°.

For angled applications use one of our jointed grippers or our sloped ceiling couplers.
