Working Principle

The Linear Abrasion Testing Machine operates on a reciprocating linear motion principle, simulating the back-and-forth scrubbing action of cleaning tools or cooking utensils against the pan bottom surface.

Operational Mechanism

The testing system incorporates a horizontal arm that reciprocates in a linear motion across the test specimen surface. Attached to the end of the arm is a precision bearing spline shaft that creates a "free-floating" test system, permitting vertical movement as the test attachment follows the contours of the pan bottom. Weight discs are mounted on top of the shaft to apply controlled pressure.

As the horizontal arm strokes back and forth, the test attachment moves across the coated surface, generating consistent, repeatable wear patterns. This design ensures uniform abrasion across the test area, producing accurate and reliable results.
