Introudction of Mechanical Tester Valve in Full H2S service

Mechanical tester valve is served as the master tester valve in the well testing working string. By lifting and lowering the drill pipe (or tubing) to control the ball valve, the mechanical tester valve is operated to open and close the well. The movement of the mechanical tester valve can be repeated many times as required. To use the Inconel raw material, the mechanical tester valve can be used for drill stem testing operation in Full H2S well condition.

Constructure of the mechanical tester valve

Mechanical tester valve consists of three major section: a inversion mechanism, a time-delay mechanism and a ball valve section.

* Inversion mechanism

The inversion mechanism consists of a J-slot mandrel and a transposition lug. There are many
index grooves on the J-slot mandrel. A pair lugs of transposition lug is inserted into the index groove.

* Time delay mechanism

The time delay mechanism consists of valve sleeve, metering cartridge, internal valve, outer valve, and oil case etc. This hydraulic time delay mechanism is a “one way” mechanism.

* Ball valve section

The ball valve section is comprised of top coupling, seat holder, ball valve cage, ball valve
assembly, operating pins and ball valve case etc. The ball valve is closed before the
circulating port is closed, this ensures that the circulating medium is separated from the
formation fluid.
