03 Plasma Principle explanation
The basic principle of plasma therapy involves exciting NaCl and other electrolytes into low-temperature plasma through a stable electric field operating at an ultra-low frequency of 100kHz. This forms a thin plasma layer approximately 100μm in front of the electrode.
Typically, under a 100kHz low-frequency stable electric field, exciting a NaCl molecule will generate a kinetic energy of 8 electron volts. The kinetic energy required to break a peptide bond is 4 electron volts. Therefore, the target tissue cells are disintegrated at the molecular level. Tissues such as proteins are lysed and vaporized into low molecular weight gases such as H2, O2, CO2, N2 and methane. This produces cutting and ablation effects at low temperatures of around 40-70°C. Due to its relatively low operating temperature range, it is referred to as temperature-controlled radiofrequency (TCRF) therapy.
