D-Dimer Rapid Test Instruction Manual

INSTRODUCTION

D-Dimer Rapid Test is used for the qualitative detection of D-dimer in human whole blood and plasma; The test is used as an aid in the assessment and evaluation of patients with suspected disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE).

STORAGE AND STABILITY

• Store at 2 ~ 30 º C in the sealed pouch for 24 months. • Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat. • DO NOT FREEZE.

TEST KIT OPERATION

Bring tests, specimens, and/or controls to room temperature (15-30°C) before use.

1. Remove the test cassette from the sealed pouch and use it within one hour.

2. Place the cassette on a clean and level surface. Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 1 drop of sample to the specimen area, then add 1 drop of buffer,and start the timer. See illustration below.

3. Wait for the colored line(s) to appear. Read results at 15 minutes. Do not read results after 20 minutes.

4. Read the results:

Positive: The presence of two lines as control line (C) and test line (T) within the result window indicates a positive result.

Negative: The presence of only control line (C) within the result window indicates a negative result.

Invalild: If the control line (C) is not visible within the result window after performing the test, the result is considered invalid.
