Stuffing Box Detail information As a user of the API 11B Oilfield Polished Rod Sealing Box (Stuffing Box), I can attest to its importance in the installation at the Pumping Well Head. I am utilizing the Double Pack variation of the stuffing box, which effectively seals the Polished Rod using cone packing and a lubricated upper section. This design ensures self-alignment and prevents packing burnout, providing a reliable seal against fluid pressure leakage. The stuffing box I use is constructed with either 1045/4130 casting steel or ductile iron for the cap, glands, body, and base, tailored to meet my specific requirements. The bottom of the stuffing box is designed with API gauged threads, allowing for seamless compatibility with tubing EUE or LP connections. I have found this stuffing box to be suitable for a range of Polished Rod sizes, including 1 inch, 1.1/8 inches, 1.1/4 inches, 1.1/2 inches, and 1.3/4 inches. Its simple structure facilitates easy installation and maintenance. Moreover, the option for double packing, and even triple packing, ensures a superior sealing effectiveness, resulting in reliable performance and efficient sealing capabilities. Personally, I am highly satisfied with the reliability and outstanding performance of the API 11B Oilfield Polished Rod Sealing Box.
