Stuffing Box Detail information
The API 11B Oilfield Polished Rod Sealing Box, also referred to as
a stuffing box, is a vital component installed at the Pumping Well
Head. Its primary function is to create a seal around the Polished
Rod using cone packing and an upper section that is lubricated and
capable of self-alignment. This design ensures the prevention of
packing burnout and effectively seals against fluid pressure
leakage.
The stuffing box is available in two versions: Single Pack and
Double Pack. Customers have the flexibility to choose between
1045/4130 casting steel or ductile iron for the cap, glands, body,
and base, based on their specific requirements. Furthermore, the
bottom of the stuffing box is equipped with API gauged threads that
are compatible with tubing EUE or LP connections.
These stuffing boxes are suitable for a variety of rod sizes,
accommodating dimensions of 1 inch, 1.1/8 inches, 1.1/4 inches,
1.1/2 inches, and 1.3/4 inches. With a simple structure, they can
be easily installed and maintained. The option of single packing,
double packing, or even triple packing ensures the sealing
effectiveness that guarantees reliable performance and optimum
sealing efficiency.
