High expansion foam agent and water are mixed at certain proportion and form foam solution. This solution flows to high expansion foam generator with a water powered motor. It is then discharged through a nozzle onto a fine mesh screen. A rotating fan will blow and transform the foam solution to mass of stable bubbles and form high expansion foam. These highly expanded foam will quickly flood protected area and smother fire effectively.

The high expansion foam generator is one of the key equipment for high expansion foam extinguishing system. Its advantage is that it has big frothing volume and can be applied in different cases.Driving a hydroturbine with foam solution whose pressure is from 0.3~1.0Mpa and then the hydroturbine drives the fan. Foam solution was dispersed into droplets when it flow through a nozzle and sprayed to foam generate net. These droplets then form thin films and were blowed into amount of foams by the fan, constituting high expansion foam.
