The 23ZG21 board is the main processing board ofthe RTU232 station. lt can only be plugged into thepredefined slot of the basic subrack. The connectionto the RTU232 peripheral bus is done by a 64 poleDlN-C connector to the backplane of the basic-sub.rack 23TP20 or 23ET22. The23ZG21task dependsontheloaded software lease. The 23ZG21 board has two processors: MPU Main Processing UnitPBP Peripheral Bus Processor Time synchronization by TSY input TheRTU232 can besynchronizedeitherby TSl message or by an external minute pulse signal with anadditional time information. The minute pulse input is the TSY connector on thebasic subrack.The standard source forTSY is the minute pulse output of the 23RC20 board(DCF77)or the 23RC21 board (GPS) There is no filter in the input circuit of TSY to have nodelay for synchronization. TopreventnoiseontheTSYinputshieldedcablesbe-tween23RC20/23RC21 andTSYconnector have tobe used.Confgure 23RC20/23RC21next to23ZG21 to have short cable.
