The Exciter Selector Board (ESEL) mounts in the control rack and receives six logic level gate pulse signals from its corresponding master I/O (EMIO) board. It then uses the pulse signals to drive six sets of cables which are distributed to the exciter gate pulse amplifier (EGPA) boards.
