IS420UCSBH3A is a UCSB Controller Module developed by GE under the Mark VIe series. The Stand-alone computers, UCSB controllers run application-specific control system logic. The UCSB controller does not host any application I/O, in contrast to conventional controllers where it is on a backplane. Each controller is also connected to all I/O networks, providing them with access to all input data. No single point of application input will be lost if a controller is powered down for maintenance or repair thanks to the hardware and software architecture.

The IS420UCSBH3A controller is another version of the Mark VIe series UCSB controller produced by General Electric. In the GEH-6725 Mark VIe and Mark VIeS Control Device HazLoc Instructions Guide, the controller is described as a Mark VIe or MarkStat Controller. The device is equipped with a 1200 MHz EP80579 Intel microprocessor. This controller is very similar to the UCSC controller in the Mark VIe series, and although the two controllers have different hardware forms, the software forms on both controllers are almost identical. Some advantages of a controller like this are that there are no batteries, no fans, and no necessary jumper settings.
