Three software packages are available for use with the 3500 Machinery
Protection System. These are
1. Rack Configuration Software. This package configures all 3500
modules.
2. Data Acquisition/DDE Server. This package collects and archives static
data from the 3500 System. The DDE Server provides data exporting
capabilities for integration with 3rd party software such as plant
historians, process control systems, and human machine interfaces.
3. Operator Display. This package displays information collected by the
3500 Data Acquisition software.
All 3500 software is Microsoft Windows based and can operate across a
network using Windows 2003 Server or Windows XP Professional operating
systems.

Note: The primary role of the 3500 Data Acquisition and Operator Display software is as an
emulation package to display the data normally found on the front-panel display of a machinery
protection system. The software also provides basic trending and event archiving functions. It does
not provide the dynamic data capture and plot capabilities required for machinery diagnostics or for
connection to a Bently Nevada Decision Support system.
