Product Overview
The fundamental concept behind a permanent magnet generator is that its rotor is equipped with permanent magnet materials, which create a steady magnetic field. This constant magnetic field is a key feature that distinguishes it from other types of generators.
When an external prime mover—such as a wind turbine, water turbine, or an engine—causes the rotor to spin, the magnetic field rotates as well. This rotating magnetic field then interacts with the conductors located in the stator windings.
Based on the law of electromagnetic induction, the movement of the magnetic field relative to the stator conductors induces an electromotive force (EMF) within the stator windings. If an external electrical circuit is connected to these windings, this EMF drives a current, allowing the generator to deliver electrical power to the load.
