Overview

Platinum Pt Wire is a thin filament made of platinum metal. It has a high melting point, good ductility, stable chemical properties, and excellent catalytic activity. It is widely used in fields such as chemistry, medicine, electronics, instrument manufacturing, and jewelry, such as corrosion-resistant chemical instruments, thermocouples, and electrodes.

Application

1. Platinum Pt wire (often alloyed with rhodium wire, such as in Pt-Rh thermocouples) is the core material for high-temperature thermocouples. It is used for measuring high-temperature furnace temperatures in industries such as metallurgy, ceramics, and glass, as well as for precision temperature monitoring in scientific research.
2. It can be used as electrode leads or connecting materials in integrated circuit and semiconductor manufacturing, meeting the demands of miniaturization and high-precision manufacturing.
3. In some high-end ignition systems (such as aircraft engines and precision internal combustion engines), it can serve as an ignition electrode to ensure reliable ignition.
4. In high-temperature environments such as aircraft engines and rocket propulsion systems, it can be used as sensor leads or high-temperature structural auxiliary materials, withstanding extreme temperatures and corrosive environments.

② Repeated rolling in a rolling mill reduces the metal's hardness, making it easier to shape.

③ Forging the thicker platinum billet improves its density and uniformity.

④ Cold drawing and repeated annealing gradually reduce the die aperture, resulting in the production of platinum wire of the desired diameter.

⑤ Surface cleaning and polishing reduce surface roughness, improving conductivity and corrosion resistance.
