High Temperature Resistance Tungsten Heavy Alloy Rivets For
Reaction Blocks Tungsten Heavy Alloy Rivets are a heavy tungsten alloy because they
weigh more than twice as much as steel. Tungsten alloys with high
specific gravity are usually refractory metals containing tungsten
nickel iron, tungsten nickel copper or tungsten nickel copper iron
complexes. Some tungsten alloys have been added with rare earth and
/ or other metals such as cobalt, molybdenum and chromium. Heavy
tungsten alloy has a high melting point, twice the density of steel
and more than 50% heavier than lead. What is Tungsten Heavy Alloy Rivets?Rivet is a permanent mechanical fastener. Before installation, it
consists of a smooth cylindrical shaft with a head at one end. The
end opposite the head is called the stag's tail. During
installation, the rivet shall be placed in the drilling or pre
drilling. Then the tail is "flipped" (i.e. deformed) to expand it
to 1.5 times the original shaft diameter, and the rivet is fixed in
place. In order to distinguish the two ends of the rivet, the
original head is called the factory head, and the deformed end is
called the shop head or the stag tail. Tungsten rivet reaction
block is widely used in rivet gun. Because there is a head at both ends of the installed tungsten
rivet reaction block, it can support the tension load (load
parallel to the shaft axis); However, it is more capable of
supporting shear loads (loads perpendicular to the axis of the
shaft). Bolts and screws are more suitable for tension
applications.

Application of Tungsten Heavy Alloy RivetsThe fasteners used in traditional wooden ships, such as copper
nails and fastening bolts, are based on the principle of rivets,
but tungsten rivet reaction blocks have been used long before the
invention of rivets. People remember that they are usually
classified as nails and bolts.
