90WNiFe Tungsten Alloy Collimators For Radioactive Shielded UseTungsten Alloy Collimators are made of tungsten matrix (tungsten
content is generally 80%-98%) and a small amount of nickel, iron,
copper, cobalt, molybdenum, chromium and other elements. The
density of high specific gravity tungsten alloy is up to
15.20~18.70g/cm3, also known as high specific gravity tungsten
alloy or high density alloy material. Because tungsten alloy weighs
more than twice as much as steel. Introduction and Feature of Tungsten Alloy CollimatorsTungsten alloy has a series of excellent properties, high specific
gravity: general specific gravity 16.5-18.75g/cm3, high strength:
tensile strength 700-1000mpa, strong light absorption capacity:
higher than the general lead specific gravity 30-40%, high thermal
conductivity: 5 times that of die steel; Low coefficient of thermal
expansion: only 1/2-1/3 of steel, good electrical conductivity,
good welding and cutting performance. The common method of preparing heavy tungsten alloys is to mix the
desired amount of tungsten, iron, nickel, or copper powder and then
cold press liquid phase sintering to near full density. During the
liquid phase treatment, the matrix tungsten alloy is melted, and
part of the tungsten enters the solution to form microstructures,
and large tungsten particles (20-60m) are dispersed in the matrix
alloy.
Application of Tungsten Alloy CollimatorsHeavy tungsten disk is an ideal choice for shielding X-ray and
gamma ray. High density tungsten shielding (60% higher than lead). Heavy tungsten alloy shielding is mainly used in collimators, FDG
containers, multi plate collimators, nuclear shielding, beam
shielding, vial shielding, pet syringe shielding, isotope
containers and other fields.
