High Performance Heavy Tungsten Alloy DiscHigh Performance Heavy Tungsten Alloy Disc is made of tungsten
matrix (tungsten content is generally 80%~98%) plus a small amount
of nickel, iron, copper, cobalt, molybdenum, chromium and other
elements. Super-gravity tungsten alloy has high density, up to
15.20~18.70g/cm3, also known as super-gravity tungsten alloy or
high-density alloy material. Because tungsten alloy weighs more
than twice as much as steel. Introduction and Feature of Heavy Tungsten Alloy DiscTungsten alloy has a series of excellent properties, high specific
gravity: general gravity, 16.5-18.75g/cm3, high strength: tensile
strength 700-1000mpa, strong radiation absorption capacity: 30-40%
higher than ordinary gravity lead, thermal conductivity: 5 times
that of die steel; low thermal expansion coefficient: only 1/2-1/3
of steel, good electrical conductivity; good welding and processing
ability. A common process for making tungsten alloys involves mixing the
desired amount of tungsten, iron, nickel or copper powder, followed
by cold pressing and liquid phase sintering until near full
density. The liquid phase treatment is to melt the base tungsten
alloy and bring some tungsten into the solution to form a
microstructure of larger tungsten particles (20-60 m) dispersed in
the base alloy.

Application of Heavy Tungsten Alloy Disc- ual-source distance density meters use tungsten alloys as shielding
elements to measure oil content thousands of meters below the
surface. After the original lead shield is changed to high specific
gravity tungsten alloy, the instrument is widely used because of
its small size, high precision and long service life.
