WNiCu High Performance Machined Tungsten Heavy Alloy RingTungsten Heavy Alloy Ring is made of tungsten matrix (tungsten
content is generally 80%~98%) and a small amount of nickel, iron,
copper, cobalt, molybdenum, chromium and other elements.High
gravity tungsten alloy density as high as 15.20~18.70g/cm3, also
known as high gravity tungsten alloy or high density alloy
material.Because the tungsten alloy weighs more than twice as much
as iron or steel. Introduction and Feature of Tungsten Heavy Alloy RingTungsten alloy has a series of excellent properties, high
proportion: general gravity 16.5-18.75g/cm3, high strength: tensile
strength 700-1000mpa, strong ray absorption capacity: 30-40% higher
than ordinary gravity lead, thermal conductivity: 5 times of mold
steel; low thermal expansion coefficient: only 1 / 2-1 / 3 of
steel, good conductivity; good soldering and machining. Common processes for preparing tungsten heavy alloys include mixing
the required amounts of tungsten, iron, nickel or copper powder
followed by cold pressure and liquid phase sintering to near full
density.During liquid phase treatment, the matrix tungsten alloy
melts and brings some tungsten into the solution to form a
microstructure through which large tungsten particles (20-60 m) are
dispersed in the matrix alloy.
Application of Tungsten Heavy Alloy Ring- The two-source distance densitometry uses tungsten alloy as a
shielding component to measure the oil content of oil layers
thousands of meters below the surface. After the original lead
shield is changed to high specific gravity tungsten alloy, the
instrument is widely used for its small size, high precision and
long service life.
