WNiFe Heavy Tungsten Fishing Weights Beads For Fly Tying Counter
Sunk
Tungsten Fishing Weights are a kind of tungsten based alloy
(generally 80% ~ 98% tungsten content). Small amounts of nickel,
iron, copper, cobalt, molybdenum, chromium and other elements are
added to the alloy material. The density of high specific gravity
tungsten alloy is up to 15.20~18.70 g/cm3, also known as heavy
tungsten alloy or high density alloy material. Because tungsten
alloys weigh more than twice as much as iron or steel.

What is Tungsten Fishing Beads?
Tungsten alloy has a series of excellent properties, significant
ratio: general ratio of 16.5-18.75g/cm3, high strength: tensile
strength of 700-1000mpa, strong ray absorption capacity: 30-40%
higher than lead, large thermal conductivity: 5 times of die steel;
Low thermal expansion coefficient: only 1/2-1/3 of steel, good
electrical conductivity; Good weldability and machinability.
Common processes for preparing tungsten heavy alloys include mixing
the desired amount of tungsten, iron, nickel or copper powder and
then cold pressing and liquid phase sintering to near full density.
During the liquid phase treatment, the matrix tungsten alloy melts
and brings some tungsten into the solution, forming a
microstructure through which large tungsten particles (20-60μm) are
dispersed in the matrix alloy.
Application of Tungsten Fishing Weights
Tungsten Fishing Weights pendant is a kind of tungsten alloy
material production of fishing gear. Tungsten alloy fishing pendant
has high density, small volume and different shapes, suitable for
various river sections. Tungsten alloy fishing pendant embodies the
advantages different from other manufacturing materials.
- High density: The density of tungsten alloys can reach 18.5g/cm3,
which is much smaller in volume than other materials for the same
mass.
- Corrosion resistance: the chemical property of tungsten alloy is
stable and does not react with any substance at normal temperature.
Fishing pendants are easy to be oxidized if they are made of iron
and used in contact with water for a long time.
- High hardness: tungsten alloy is second only to diamond in
hardness. It is hard to avoid collision with hard objects in the
process of use. High hardness materials can make the fishing
pendant difficult to fracture and deformation.
