K20 Tungsten Steel Plates For High-Temperature Parts Application
Tungsten Steel Plates are mainly made of WC tungsten carbide
and co cobalt powder mixed by metallurgical methods through
pulverization, ball milling, pressing and sintering. The main alloy
components are WC and Co. the component contents of WC and CO in
tungsten carbide plates for different purposes are different, and
they are widely used. It is named after its rectangular plate (or
square), also known as tungsten steel plates.

Performance Characteristics of tungsten steel plates
Tungsten steel has high hardness, especially at high
temperature. WC can be well wetted by metal melts such as CO, Ni
and Fe, especially cobalt melt has good wettability to WC. WC can
be dissolved in these metal melts when the temperature increases
above the metal melting point, and WC can be precipitated when the
temperature decreases. These excellent properties make it possible
to use metals such as cobalt or nickel as binder phase materials
and form wear-resistant coatings with good wear resistance after
high-temperature sintering or coating treatment.
Scope of application
Tungsten steel is suitable for mechanical processing at high
temperatures, and can be used to make cutting tools, structural
materials for kilns, jet engines, gas turbines, nozzles, etc. It is
widely used in mining tools, oil drilling tools, coal mining tools,
shield tools for tunnel engineering, stamping dies, composite
rolls, hard surface spraying and spray welding of metal surfaces,
etc.
