Introduction:
The smoke density tester for building materials was developed by
Rohm and Haas Company for internal control. It was developed in
accordance with the ASTM D2843 standard in the 1970s. Its
theoretical basis is the adoption of Bill Lumber's law, namely The
flame directly impacts the sample, and after the material burns to
produce smoke, the smoke density value (SDR) can be judged by
blocking the transmittance of the light. .
By detecting the loss of light transmission in test chamber, XP-2 Smoke Density Chamber Tester can measure smoke density from burning and decomposition of
building material during test.
Features:
The test chamber of Smoke Density Tester is Teflon coating, to resist the corrosion of smoke released during
burning.
Light source is incandescent lamp, the photoelectric sensor is
silicon photodiode, which has cosine calibration function.
Color filter is equipped to filter out ultraviolet light and
infrared light.
Gas pressure of main burner is 256KPA, it is subjected to flame
impact on test specimen.
Gas pressure of auxiliary burner is 138KPA, it can continue burn
the molten droplets.
The computer and test software are equipped with Smoke Density Chamber Tester.
