VW-1 Vertical Horizontal Wire Flame Test Equipment

Introduction

This vertical horizontal wire flame test equipment (VW-1) is designed according to UL1581 sect 1080.1~1080.14, and meets the criteria of VW-1(Vertical-specimen) Flame Test. It can be used to test of 1060 products wire and cable FT1 and vertical burning test,1080 VW-1 test, 1061 test, 1090 horizontal test and 1100 horizontal specimen or FT2 test;to assess the flame spreading ability to combustible near by of cable or flexible wire when it caught fire.The whole test is carried out in a sealed test chamber with a volume of 4.32 M3.
Test method: adjust the flame height to placed the specimen at the top of the flame, burning for 15 seconds, extinguished 15 seconds, repeat 5 times,then inspecting the burned situation of the specimen, it can be set the combustion, extinguish and repetition automaticlly.

Structure 
1, The test chamber is electrolytic plate electrostatic spraying, elegant appearance, and inside is roasted black.
2, The verticacl horizontal wire flame testing equipment is equipped with powerful exhaust fume extractor, when the test is complete, open and air supply system and exhaust to the outdoors, and during the test, the system is closed;
3, The air throttle is equipped behind the test chamber.After the completion of the test, open the ventilation system to air distribution in the cabinet,But during the testing, the air door should be closed.
4, The glass viewing window is on the front box, allowing easy observation during the test.
5, The test chamber is equipped with sealed glove to operate the burner inside.
6, Test chamber size: available space 2.1M (l) *1M (w) *2.1M (h), capacity: 4.48m3. Dimensions 2.4m (l) *1M (w) *2.3M (h).

Temperature measurement system
1, A thermal sensor (copper tubing and thermocouples)-tube structure should be very high conductivity electrolytic copper. Length of 19.14 ± 0.02mm.
2, K-thermocouple, 0.5mm diameter of stainless steel tubes as a sleeve.
3, The digital temperature meter with match with imports K-type thermocouple, which readings greater than 1000 degrees centigrade.
4, This VW-1 wire test apparatus is equipped with electronic stopwatch: accurate to 0.1s.
 

Apparatus and Fixture
1, The main fixtures include test stand and burner fixture
2, The burner inner diameter is 9.5 ± 0.5mm, fire mouth diameter is 0.90 ± 0.03mm; burner pipe is 102mm. Air supply is adjustable;
3, The height of flame is adjustable; Standard requests are: total height of flame is 125 ± 10MM, blue inner flame height is 40 ± 2mm ; flame test angle is adjustable from 0 to 45°.
4, Imported gas special flowmeter and precise needle valve controlling gas flow.
5, Imported brands of pressure gauges and control valve working gas pressure;
6, Test stand is made of stainless steel, and include horizontal bracket, vertical support an independent type, also as FT1, FT2, VW-1, three kinds of specifications. The plant of vertical support and blowtorch is parallel to the observation window plane, easy for viewing and operation.
7, The burner is imported from USA, it fit to ASTM D 5025-99 request
8, High voltage electronic ignition system, and automatic cut off of gas supply for security control system
9, Wedge-shaped frame: Add wedges, the burner is installed in the wedge, and can be easily moved and moved back to the defined position very accurately.

1, 94 g/m2 kraft paper flag, the strip width is 1/2In or 10MM, thick or near 5mil or0.1mm,
