WNiCu Tungsten Heavy Alloy Plates Used in Radiation Shielding Field
WNiCu tungsten heavy alloy is composed of tungsten matrix with a small amount of nickel, copper and other alloy elements. It has the following characteristics: no magnetic, high density (~18.8 g/cm3) and adjustable, strong ability to absorb high energy rays (1/3 higher than the ray absorption coefficient of lead), low coefficient of thermal expansion (4~6×10-6/℃), processable, weldable, etc. So WNiCu tungsten heavy alloy is widely used in the field of radiation shielding and protection field which is sensitive to magnetic environment.

- non-magnetic - high density ~18.8 g/cm3 - high strength: tensile strength 600-900 mpa - shielding ability: tungsten alloy has more than 7 times radiation shielding ability than that of lead under the same ray thickness, the stronger the ray, the more obvious the difference between the ability of tungsten alloy and lead - thermal conductivity: tungsten alloy thermal conductivity is 5 times of die steel - thermal expansion coefficient is small: tungsten alloy thermal expansion coefficient 4~6×10-6/℃, only 1/2-1/3 of iron or steel - has good plasticity, processability and weldability - compared to lead toxic, tungsten alloy material has environmental protection characteristics, using tungsten alloy shielding parts to make radiation detectors is not harmful to human safety
Compared with tungsten-nickel-iron alloy, WNiCu has played an unique anti-jamming advantage in the sensitive to magnetic environment.
