Introduction of APMGS mud gas separator for workover

gas within the drilling mud. If there is a “KICK” situation, this
vessel separates the mud and the gas by allowing it to flow over
baffle plates. The gas then is forced to flow through a line and
vent it to a flare. APMGS series poor boy
degasser combined with the flare ignition device can be used
to ensure the drilling process smoothly.
Application of APMGS mud gas separator
Poor boy degasser will work with a flare ignition device to
burn the discharged gas 30 or long distances away. The flare
ignition device will connect with degasser with gas vent line, the
flare ignition device is non-return valve, ignitor, junction box,

Features of APMGS mud gas separator
- Poor boy degasser will be set beside shale shaker tank and
connected with shaker distribution tank to allow treated mud goes
into shale shaker for solids separation.
- The mud that comes out of the chock manifold will go into MGS
directly for gas separation.
- The footprint of an MGS is 2 meters by 2 meters with a stand to
hold the tank vessel. The stand design can be changed and supplied
to the client as per request to allow the degasser to fold down
onto a skid.
- A flare ignition device can be selected to sit 30 meters away from
the degasser to burn the waste gas out of MGS.
