Why use drilling mud agitators

Drilling mud agitators are popular auxiliary equipment used in drilling mud systems. In an oilfield, mud tanks are the platform for a whole solids control system. On tanks, there are shakers, mud cleaner, centrifuge, pumps, agitators, and so on

Mud tanks are used to reserve drilling fluids. During whole well drilling, we need drilling mud and we maintain and process drilling mud for better property and save drilling cost. Mud agitators will help us to mix or agitate the drilling fluids. Under the impellers’ rotation, the useful solids will suspend without sediment

We know the agitator is consisting of a motor and a reducer. Combining them together will get a proper turn speed. Under proper TOR the drilling fluids will be at a high property for better circulation throughout the mud system

There are different types of APMA7.5 and APMA11, APMA15, and so on. Currently, helical bevel gears are generally APMA7.5. APMA15 and is equipped with helical worm gear. For mud agitator, we produced by 5.5kw, 7.5kw, 11kw, 15kw, 18.5kw, 22kw 30kw motor drive and gear box.

Mud agitator Options

Horizontal worm agitator, because it is cost-effective, oil and gas, the most widely used clay pot-stirrer. There stirrer coupling options to protect gear, but no coupling option can save costs.

For larger torque and a minimum footprint, horizontal agitator bevel gear is a good choice. Compared with the worm gear, bevel gear torque is much higher. Better performance and higher costs.

The stand mixer is ideal for a small footprint but a highly higher vertical storage tank.

According to mud tank specification and drilling mud property(volume, dimension, SG)

To check which type reducer you prefer(Helical worm, helical bevel)
Other special requirements (Reduce ratio, installation position, color)
