Product description
The screw conveyor is a highly efficient conveying equipment that
uses rotating spiral blades to continuously push powdery, granular
and small block-shaped bulk materials in a closed trough. With its
compact structure, good sealing performance, simple operation and
the ability to load and unload materials at multiple points, it is
widely used in production lines of industries such as building
materials, chemical engineering, grain, metallurgy and
environmental protection. It is a commonly used device for
horizontal, inclined or short-distance vertical conveying of
materials.
Working principle
When the spiral blade rotates within the closed chamber, the force
it exerts on the material is an axial thrust. Due to the combined
effect of the material's own gravity, friction with the chamber
walls, and other factors, the material does not rotate along with
the spiral blade. Instead, it is continuously pushed forward by the
blade, just like an object moving forward along a fixed screw rod
driven by a rotating nut.
The realization of this process mainly relies on the fact that the
friction between the material and the spiral blade is greater than
the friction between the material and the slot wall. In this way,
under the continuous rotation of the spiral blade, the material
forms a stable axial movement and is eventually transported from
the feed port to the discharge port.
