Polytetramethylene Etherglycol PTMEG-250 Used in Elastomer Block Polymers
1. Description Polytetramethylene etherglycol (PTMEG), also known as polytetrahydrofuran (PTG), is a linear polyether glycol with hydroxyl groups at both molecular ends. It is produced through the ring-opening polymerization of tetrahydrofuran.
2. Application PTMEG exhibits excellent reactivity and is widely used in elastomeric block polymers, offering superior low-temperature elasticity, microbial resistance, and hydrolysis stability. Its applications include polyurethane fiber (spandex), polyurethane elastomers, synthetic leather, coatings, adhesives, sealants, polyester elastomers, and polyamide elastomers.
3. Technical Specification
4 Package 200kg / drum
5. Shelf Life PTMEG has an approximate shelf life of 2 years when stored in its original, tightly sealed container under dry nitrogen protection at temperatures not exceeding 90°C, ensuring no exposure to air.
