IEC 62552:2015 Automatic Refrigerator Door Opening and Closing Tester
Product Information:
The tester is intended for durability testing of vertical freezer doors and can also be used in conjunction with refrigerator energy efficiency tests to simulate door opening/closing cycles. This is a specialized automated test device, ideal for certification bodies, factory laboratories, and other inspection departments.
The system adopts a mature PLC-based intelligent control, featuring adjustable motion actuators, suction cup assemblies for securing onto refrigerator surfaces, and a color LCD touchscreen for parameter input. Users can preset test angle, speed, and door operation timing to realistically simulate manual door opening/closing, achieving intelligent multi-functional control.
Test Principle:
• Door Opening: The servo motor drives a mechanical arm to pull a rope that moves the suction-cup-mounted door from 0°to 5–15°under controlled motion, after which the door moves freely to the target angle. • Door Closing: The servo motor drives the arm with a pressure wheel to push the door from 45°to 35–40°under controlled motion, followed by a free-motion phase until fully closed. • One complete open-close cycle is defined as a single test cycle. • 50N Swing Test: The refrigerator door is first opened to 90°(mechanically limited from the inside). A suction cup is fixed on the door’s outer edge, farthest from the hinge. A weight (connected by a steel wire) is lifted and dropped by a pneumatic cylinder to apply a 50N force, swinging the door beyond 90° to its maximum angle. The arm then resets the door to 90°, and the impact is repeated 10,000 times.
Mechanical Structure:
As shown in the figures, the equipment features an integrated frame structure. The refrigerator sample is placed on the baseplate to ensure relative motion causes internal stress rather than vibration of the whole machine. Two vertical columns are mounted on the baseplate (left and right), each containing two door opening/closing mechanisms, as shown in Figure 1, allowing simultaneous testing of refrigerators with up to four doors. The test sample configuration is shown in Figure 2.
