Detailed Product Description

MIL-STD-810 Solar Simulator Test Chamber Simulate Solar Radiation Environmental

Product Information:

This Solar Radiation Aging Test Chamber (Metal Halide Lamp Aging Test Chamber ) matches the requirements of MIL-STD-810, DIN 75220, etc. It is used to simulate the irradiation requirements of the environment inside and outside the vehicles.

It adopts full spectrum metal halide lamp, which is German OSRAM SC4000, the spectrum curve of the metal halide lamp itself is very close to the solar spectrum, and the sunlight can be completely simulated after adjustment by a custom filter.

The sunlight simulation unit is composed of a lamp housing, a metal halide lamp and an intelligent power supply. The intelligent power supply is placed in the rear compartment of the test chamber, and the metal halide lamp is installed in the lamp housing and arranged in the test chamber according to the required irradiation area.

The lamp housing is made of sandblasted alumina board material, , the light emitting material is imported mirror bean grain aluminum plate with a reflectivity of up to 97%. Extend the electroplating process to ensure the high-strength hardness of the reflective mirror surface, and reduce the occurrence of the situation that the reflectivity is greatly reduced due to the later cleaning and rubbing test.

Features:

A solar radiation test chamber, also known as a solar simulator or solar radiation chamber, is a specialized testing equipment used to simulate and replicate solar radiation conditions for evaluating the performance, reliability, and durability of various products, materials, or components under controlled environmental conditions. It is commonly used in industries such as solar energy, aerospace, automotive, and material science.

Key features and components of a typical solar radiation test chamber include:

Light Source: The chamber is equipped with a high-intensity light source, typically a xenon arc lamp or a halogen lamp, that emits light across the solar spectrum, including ultraviolet (UV), visible, and infrared (IR) wavelengths. The light source is capable of producing a spectrum similar to natural sunlight.
Optical System: The chamber incorporates an optical system, including mirrors, lenses, or filters, to distribute and control the light intensity and spectrum. This ensures uniform and controlled irradiance across the test sample or area.
Temperature Control: Solar radiation test chambers often feature temperature control systems to maintain the desired test temperature during exposure to solar radiation. This allows for evaluating the effects of both solar radiation and temperature on the tested materials or components.
Test Sample Holder: The chamber includes fixtures, racks, or mounting systems to securely hold the test samples or devices in the desired orientation while exposing them to solar radiation. These holders ensure proper positioning and stability during testing.
Irradiance Measurement: Sensors or radiometers are installed within the chamber to measure and monitor the irradiance levels during testing. This allows precise control and characterization of the solar radiation intensity and spectrum applied to the test samples.
Control and Data Acquisition: Solar radiation test chambers are typically equipped with a control system and data acquisition system to set and monitor test parameters, such as irradiance levels, exposure time, and temperature. This enables precise control and data collection for analysis and comparison.
Solar radiation test chambers are used to assess the performance of various products and materials under solar exposure, including solar panels, photovoltaic cells, coatings, paints, polymers, and electronic components. They can simulate different environmental conditions, such as outdoor sunlight, different solar spectra, and accelerated aging conditions, allowing manufacturers and researchers to evaluate the long-term effects of solar radiation on their products.

When conducting tests using a solar radiation test chamber, it is essential to follow applicable standards, such as ASTM or IEC, and specific test protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results. These standards provide guidelines for test parameters, measurement techniques, and acceptance criteria specific to the type of product or material being tested.
