IEC 60529 Hand-held IPX3 And IPX 4 Spray Nozzle With Digital Flowmeter

Overview:

It meets the requirements of IEC 60529-2013 “Degrees of protection provided by enclosure (IP code)” IPX3 and IPX4, Figure 5.

The spray nozzle is used to verify the protective performance of the enclosure for electronic and electrical products, automobiles, motorcycle parts, household appliances, seals and lamps under water spraying and splashing at degree IPX3 and IPX4.

Structure:

This device is manufactured according IEC 60529 figure 5, with a digital flowmeter and a pressure gauge on the handle, it can achieve IPX3 / IPX4 hand-held spraying test by connecting water pipe (water pipe should be prepared by user).

It ensures that the water spraying and splashing speed reaches the standard required value by controlling the water supply flow, make the enclosure of the specimen to be splashed in all directions.

Operation Steps:

Install the water flow meter, water pipe and spray nozzle as above picture shown, and then adjust the handle to open the valve to adjust the water flow to be (10 ± 5%) L / min, and check whether the pressure gauge shows the pressure in the range of 50-150KPa. If the water flow is less than 10 liters, then a booster pump should be installed, please refer to the blow picture.

Waterproof rating for IPX3 test: According to IEC60529 Figure 5, adjust the moving shield to be 30 °(moving to the fourth circle of holes counting from outside to inside).

Waterproof rating IPX4 test: Please remove the moving shield to full open to not cover any holes, in order to make the sample can be splashed in all directions.
