The Ball Pressure Tester conforms to many standard requirements, such as IEC60335-1, IEC60884-1, IEC60950 and so on.

External parts of non-metallic material, parts of insulating material supporting live parts including connections and parts of thermoplastic material providing supplementary insulation or reinforced insulation shall withstand this ball pressure test.

Test Principle:

The specimen is placed in the horizontal position on the support and the hemispherical tip of the ball is pressed against the surface with a force of 20N.

The test is made in a heating cabinet at a temperature of 40/70/125±2°C (please refer to different standard requirements), after 1 hour the ball shall be removed from the specimen, which is them immersed within 10 s, in cold water for cooling down to approximately room temperature.

The diameter of the impression caused by the ball is measured and shall not exceed 2 mm.

Advantage of the new version:

This new version ball pressure test apparatus with an additional supporting rack, after testing, operator take the ball pressure test apparatus out of the heating oven, to avoid damages to other devices or surfaces caused by high temperature due to random placement, operator can place the ball pressure test apparatus on this additional supporting rack.
