Ion exchange: When water flows through the ion exchange membrane, cations (such as sodium, calcium, etc.) are adsorbed by the cation exchange membrane, while anions (such as chloride, sulfate, etc.) are adsorbed by the anion exchange membrane. Electric field drive: After applying voltage, cations move to the cathode and anions move to the anode, forming a current flow, thereby accelerating the removal of ions. Concentration and dilution: Ions are concentrated and diluted on both sides of the membrane, ultimately achieving water purification.
