Consistency transmitters use reciprocating, active sensors to measure concentration using the principle of shear force. This shear force measurement method makes the transmitter substantially insensitive to normal changes in fiber composition, freeness, filler, black liquor content, flow rate, air content, pressure, etc.

• Not affected by pulp, fiber type, freeness, Kappa number, flow rate, pressure, etc
