Bitumen decanter for bag packing or box packing(Asphalt melter)

The bitumen decanter from our factory is a highly efficient, reliable and productive decanting unit custom designed to deliver the best in class productivity and reliable performance. These decanters are specially designed to reheat and melt bitumen packed in bags or boxes. Designed for use in association with bulk storage tanks the melted bitumen is automatically transferred from the decanter reservoir to the storage tank during the decanting process. These units are designed to seamlessly integrate to existing installations such as an asphalt plant or bitumen binder production plants.

Bitumen logistic is sometimes an issue, especially in those areas where an adequate supply of hot liquid product through conventional road transport tanks is not ensured. Here most end users are consequently supplied with solid bitumen in bags, but then they have to melt bitumen back into liquid form prior to usage or storage. For today’s requirements, we have developed the most performing bag melting unit actually available in the market. Bag bitumen melter components

The equipment mainly consists of melting tank, lifting system, diesel burner, exhaust flue heating system, thermal oil heating system, bitumen pump, pipe system and electric control system.

Working principle

This equipment is specially designed for the melting and heating of 1 ton bag asphalt. The shape is square tank. The top of the equipment is equipped with a electric hoist. The bag asphalt is lifted by the hoist to the feeding port at the top of the equipment. The bottom bag is cut by knives, then the asphalt block in the bag will be taken out and dropped into the equipment through the feeding port to be heated. There are 5 feeding ports, each port will be with one movable lid for insulation and rain proof.

Features

Saving energy: which make fully use diesel oil burner as heating device to melt and make asphalt into liquid state. The closed-construction saves 50% energy sources compared with the exposed one.

Double heating systems: the equipment use hot thermal oil indirectly to heat up the big bitumen block and cut them into small pieces, then drop into the lower area, it will be heated by thermal oil coils and exhaust flue together till reach the pump temperature.

Having the function of automatically removing residue with a residue filter.

Perfect applicability: it can be applicable to bags or boxes. It doesn’t influence operation if bags size within the feeding port size.

Better dehydration: it uses asphalt pump with vast displacement to realize inner-cycle and sub-atmospheric dehydration of asphalt.

High reliability: the equipment introduce automatically control system and international-brand electric parts.
