Chemical Oxygen Demand Probe UV254nm COD Sensor With RS485 Modbus RTU
The COD probe of Daruifuno adopts Spectral Absorption Coefficient (SAC) method, which can measure the absorption of light at a specific wavelength. The sensor doesn't need consumables during the measurement process. The COD electrode can measure COD, TOC, turbidity, temperature and other parameters. It uses two light sources, 254nm and 365nm UV reference light.
Measuring Principle Of The COD Probe
Many organic substances dissolved in water absorb ultraviolet rays, and the electromagnetic spectrum ranges from 200 to 390 nm. The simplest form of measurement using this principle is the Spectral Absorption Coefficient (SAC), which can measure the absorption of light at a specific wavelength. Traditionally, a wavelength of 254nm is used because it is located in an area sensitive to organic absorption.
Therefore, by measuring the degree of absorption of ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 254 nm by organic substances, the substitution of organic substances in water can be detected.
The chemical oxygen demand(COD) sensor can be used in a wide range of applications.
